All overnight shelters and campgrounds on the Maryland portion of the #AppalachianTrail are temporarily closed, except for Dahlgren Backpacker Campground, which will remain open. This action has been taken as a precaution as the Maryland Park Service assesses and conducts maintenance on hazardous trees near overnight facilities. The work is scheduled to begin Wednesday, March 18.
